The Mauldin Cultural Center was created to establish, develop and promote a cultural system that celebrates the Mauldin community, leverages the arts for the economic benefit of the City and its citizens, and strives to give all citizens and visitors the ability to experience and participate in artistic and cultural activities in an effort to continually develop a more vibrant community.
Community Playhouse of Lancaster County
The Mission Statement of the Community Playhouse of Lancaster County, Inc. is to provide the community an avenue to attend and participate in the theatrical arts through productions and other events (camps, workshops, etc.) that broaden the views of our community through diverse programming, thereby nurturing an appreciation for the arts and our world.
Furman University
By providing extensive onstage and offstage training, our ambitious program develops well-rounded artists who are prepared for any role. We offer four main stage performances each year along with a variety of small productions and student-directed shows. If you're ready for the spotlight or interested in working behind the curtain, you won't find a shortage of opportunities. Our faculty have performed and worked in theatres, costume shops, and set design studios across the United States. Even when we're not working on a play or project, you'll find students mingling in our facilities, gathering in our scene shop for one of our grand traditions: our morning game of darts. Something is always happening here.
Proud Mary Theatre Company
The mission of the Proud Mary Theatre Company, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit and non-professional theatre, is to present LGBTQ+ voices and stories in Spartanburg and the entire Upstate region through theatrical plays: compelling dramas, rib-tickling comedies, campy musicals, and local original works and avant-garde pieces that celebrate diversity and acceptance. Proud Mary Theatre Company was founded in 2017 and has won several awards from the South Carolina Theatre Association and the Southeastern Theatre Conference including Best Production, Best Actor and Best Director.
SC School of the Arts at Anderson University
The South Carolina School of the Arts at Anderson University trains professional visual, musical and theatrical artists who are serious about both their art and Christian faith. Staffed by highly trained and world-class artists, musicians, actors, dancers, theatrical designers, and scholars, we mentor students to develop their artistry to its fullest potential so they may thrive professionally and serve others through the arts.
USCB Center for the Arts
USC Beaufort’s Center for the Arts encourages cultural and economic development within the City and County of Beaufort by hosting theatrical events, concerts, and other performances. It is also home to the USCB Festival Series hosted by Ed Arron and Beaufort Children’s Theatre.
Greenwood Community Theatre
GCT enriches Greenwood and the surrounding community by fostering professionalism and diversity in all its theatrical experiences. Centrally located in the Emerald Triangle Cultural Arts District, GCT boasts a healthy offering of theatre, musical theatre, comedy, dramas, classic and Indie films, music concerts and tours. GCT believes in inclusivity and nurturing of everyone's creative talents and gifts is very important.
